Wet and Windy Weather as Tropical Storm Nakri Approaches
Jul 31, 2014 By eChinacities.com

As if travelling in Shanghai isn’t enough of a nightmare at the moment, another tropical storm is fast approaching the coastal city, threatening rainstorms and high winds.

Tropical storm Nakri formed at around 02:00 yesterday over the Pacific Ocean and is rapidly heading northwest. Although it looks set to continue offshore, there is a possibility that it will make landfall in Zhejiang Province.

Shanghai can expect high temperatures, heavy rainfall and high winds to continue through the weekend, so cancel those picnics.

Train authorities have announced that ticket services will be halted for destinations that could fall into the path of Nakri.
