Located in the center of Hangzhou city, the West Lake Culture Square is 12.9 hectares in area with a building area of 350,000 square meters. Blending functions of science, culture, entertainment, shows, exhibitions, exercising and relaxing, the square has very complete facilities.
Ten permanent exhibition areas are included in the Science Museum with more than 100 programs and more than 300 display items covering several basic science subjects such as math, physics, chemistry, astronomy, geography and biology, as well as more than ten study areas including bioscience, environmental science, material science, space technology, energy technology and information technology.
The new Provincial Natural Museum is 26 thousand square meters in area and has nearly 130 thousand samples inside.
