Using web analytics to drive online marketing and sales

Using web analytics to drive online marketing and sales
Jan 30, 2011 By eChinacities.com

Join AustCham Shanghai and Fabian Rebeiro, Executive Director of Next Digital Shanghai for a seminar on how to use web analytics to drive marketing and sales.

Most organisations have long established web presence and online marketing initiatives in place to exploit the opportunities that the web brings. From simple brochure-ware and contact points to complex transaction based and lead generation systems, every website has a specific goal or “reason for existence”. In order to ensure that the investment in these online initiatives is paying dividends and playing their role in meeting organisation and business goals, we require analytics or reporting mechanisms to give us the information needed to track ROI and conversion. During this seminar and discussion, we will look into the enigmatic area of analytics (for web and online marketing) and real-time web personalisation using two very different mechanisms – Google Analytics and Sitecore Online Marketing Suite.

The seminar and discussion will:
• outline analytics for web and online marketing, and explain how to implement Conversion Systems using Google Analytics
• explore the area of Real-Time Web Personalisation based on user behaviour through the Sitecore Online Marketing Suite.
