Just in time for the Moon Festival and National Day holiday, Urumqi's People's Park will host a lantern exhibition from September 30 to October 10. The exhibition is set to be colossal, taking up over 100,000 square meters, and will be divided into 10 special zones, including one dedicated to lunar culture, a children's play area, an entertainment area for the elderly etc. Over 100,000 lanterns – reflecting a diverse range of themes – will be on display, while 10,000 free hand-held lanterns will be given out to visitors and over 100,000 discount coupons for various local businesses will also be up for grabs.
