UK Simplifying Visa Applications to Attract More Chinese Tourists

In a bid to attract more Chinese tourists, Britain has announced that it is improving and simplifying visa application services.

According to media reports, all Chinese visitors are able to use a single form to process applications for British visas, and the UK has built 12 application centers in China to further encourage applications.

Another major breakthrough in UK visa laws was the announcement that Chinese tourists holding Irish visitor visas will be able to travel to the UK without applying for a separate UK visa – a new rule that is expected to come into effect this Fall.

Finally, during Chinese Premier Li Keqiang's visit to London, Britain also announced that it would bring out a new "super priority" 24-hour visa service, which will allow applicants to get a visa within 24 hours for an additional fee.

Good luck UK! You will get hordes of tourists tramping down Oxford St. Just hope your infrastructure will be able to cope with the crowds. We did that in our country and now everyone wants them out. They bring their habits along, spitting, pissing on the brass verge, ayis dancing, rushing to get first in line, your subway will be packed all day. You will have these people talking loudly during lunch, oblivious to those around them. If you tell them to pipe down you'll probably get into a fight with them. Rude people, uncouth and uncivilized. So, prepare for the crap that's about to come your way.

In a year or 2 this will be reversed because of the large number of Chinese overstaying trying to get benefits. Hopefully the UK is smarter than the US and kicks them out when they overstay.

I feel sad that uk is going this way, people are becoming dull and the nations power dwindles daily and now kowtows to the emerging world because of years of poor weak policies and lack of respect in families .It used to act by law and righteousness but now it bows to the wealthy just like everywhere else to gain most profit to reduce the deficiit ,unfortunatley profiteering wont reduce the deficit it will only increase it. A sad end to once a large empire and now a tiny european country a small part of europe. How is one not to sigh!

What a load of nonsense! The Chinese are completely ignorant of how things are, pretty much anywhere in the world. The idea that by simplifying the tourist visa process, is suddenly a going to encourage a bunch of Chinese people to uproot their family and spend 5000¥ on a ticket, to move to the UK, for the meer chance of claiming 500¥ a week, is delusional and ridiculous. Further more the Chinese usually travel in large groups where everything is arranged for them, are also usually wealthy / tuhao and also generally buy a lot of expensive goods. It does, however, mean that tourist sites like stonehenge or Windsor castle will become even more unbearable. However if you consider how unpleasant they already are, especially in the summer, when buses of teenage exchange students flood into all these places, you'll realise that a few extra buses of Chinese tourists will make little difference. Go to Bicester Village just outside Oxford if you want to see the Chinese tourists that come to the UK.
