Railway operators have reduced their services in response to Typhoon Hagibis which touched down on the South coast of China yesterday.

Services G6309 from Guangzhou-Caoshan, D2320 from Shenzhen-Xiamen and the D2293 from Wenzhou-Shenzhen were halted over concerns over torrential rainfall from the Typhoon.

Speed limits were also reduced to 80 kilometers per hour as an extra safety precaution, meaning journeys will be slower than usual.

The typhoon received a yellow alert warning yesterday as 28,000 off shore staff were evacuated in Fujian province.
