On November 23, the Shenzhen-Xiamen railway entered a phase of testing using empty carriages, and will formally go into operation in December. The time required to travel, as well as the number of scheduled trips have almost been worked out; the quickest time for a train setting out from Xiamen North Station to reach Shenzhen North Station will be 3 hours and 45 minutes.
From the scheduled times it is shown that there will be two trains departing each in the morning and afternoon from Shenzhen to Xiamen, and also from Xiamen to Shenzhen. The first train to depart from Shenzhen to Xiamen is the D2316; the train will leave at 10:20 and arrive in Xiamen at 14:18. The last train (D2320) will depart Shenzhen at 18:55 and arrive at 22:41 in Xiamen. Conversely, the earliest train to depart from Xiamen is the D2315 and will do so at 7:35; it will arrive in Shenzhen at 11:26. The latest train to leave Xiamen is the D2319; it will depart Xiamen at 16:02 and arrive in Shenzhen at 19:58.
