Tianjin's first vibrating cinema venue will be opening up in Taida Fashion Plaza in the city Development District. Construction cost for the cineplex totaled around 500 million RMB; total construction area covers 6,000 square meters. Equipped with eight modern theaters, the Cineplex has the capacity to accommodate nearly 2,000 audience members. One special highlight of this cinema is a theater fitted with imported vibrating chairs from South Korea. The audience will literally be able to feel the vibration of action-packed scenes in the movies (i.e. explosions, collisions, etc.), thus making the movie viewing experience 3.5D.
