Taxi fares in Tianjin usually cost 8 RMB for the first 3 km. With trips that are 3 km or more, the price will be 1.7 RMB/1 km. After 10 km, every km thereafter is 2.6 RMB. For waiting, every five minutes incurs a 1 km charge. Additionally, there is a gas surcharge of 1 RMB extra. The initial fare does not increase during the evening hours.
