Tianjin Subway’s Line 2 Now Operational

Good news for commuters in Tianjin: subway line 2 officially began operations on August 28. The line features a total of 19 stops, all of which are open, and operates from 06:00-22:54. The line begins in the west of the city at Xiqing District’s Caozhuang Station and extends eastwards to Airport Economic Zone station in Dongli District. The whole line, which intersects with line 3 and 9, is 22.6 km long and takes 42 minutes from one end to the other.

Ticket prices of line 2 are the same as for line 1 and 3: 2 RMB for journeys within five stops, 3 RMB for journeys that include 6-10 stops, 4 RMB for 11-16 stops and 5 RMB for 16 or more stops.
