Mar 01, 2010 By eChinacities.com

Starting this year, two of the world's largest cruise lines, Italy's Costa Cruise and Royal Caribbean International each have decided to make Tianjin Port their chosen homeport for one of their luxury liners. Costa's Costa Romantica will make 10 cruises from Tianjin Port starting June 26th to August 19th of 2010, taking passengers on a 7 days 6 nights journey between Japan and South Korea. Royal Caribbean's ship Legend of the Seas will make 8 trips from Tianjin Port starting July 31st to October 7th of 2010, taking its passengers on an 8 days 7 nights journey between Japan and South Korea. Tianjin Port will also try attracting more international cruise lines to base their cruises at their port by offering an array of promotions and packages – with the aim to make their port one of the biggest bases for cruise liners in northern China.
