Nanjing Metro will have three new transit lines in operation starting May 28th; they are metro Line 2 (phase 1), Line 2 (east extension line) and Line 1 (south extension line). Ticket prices will basically remain the same, but passengers will be able to travel longer distances with the same fare. Traveling 1 and up to 8 stations on the metro is 2 RMB; 9 and up to 12 stations is 3 RMB; traveling up to 13 and more stations will be 4 RMB.
