The 3rd Guilin Shanshui Festival will open on October 26th, and will focus on six main themes: culture, tourism, sports, performances, an exhibition and a talent show. This year’s festival will also emphasise visitor participation. Expect the festival’s nine activities to be very “hands on”:

- The opening ceremony
- Guilin tourism promotion conference
- Guilin international art exhibition
- Guilin intangible cultural heritage exhibition
- The 6th IVV Walking Convention Guilin China
- Travel route investigation
- 2011 Guilin international outdoor travel summit
- The closing ceremony
- The “Liquan Cup” 2011 Guilin international tourism ambassador final
