Lychee (Lizhi) 荔枝

Shenzhen lychee is one of the four famous fruits south of the Five Ridges. Its peel is vibrant red, the core is no bigger than a small egg, and the white fleshy inside is very sweet.

Shades of red, pink and yellow on the outside, sweet and juicy flavor inside.

Jingui Tangerine (Jin Gui Ju) 金龟桔
Bright golden yellow, Jingui tangerines are sweet, juicy and refreshing.

One of the major fruits of Shenzhen. Sand pears characteristically have a thin peel and crisp white flesh. The juice is sweet like honey.

Known throughout Hong Kong, Macao and Southeast Asia for its white color and tasty tender meat, hao (oyster) is also rich in protein. The best time to enjoy these delicacies is during the cooler months (November-April).

Dapeng Abalone (Dapeng Baoyu) 大鹏鲍鱼
This delicacy is somewhat slippery in texture and contains high protein content.

Jiwei Shrimp (Jiwei Xia) 基围虾
Also called Sha Xia (Sha Shrimp), this versatile crustacean can be boiled, steamed or stir-fried.
