Ginseng is a famous root known for its medicinal characteristics, improving one’s metabolism, stimulating blood circulation, relaxing muscles and joints, aiding digestion and reducing blood sugar. There are two kinds of ginseng—Yuanseng and Shanseng. Yuanseng requires proper soil, environment and cultivation, and yields only once every six years. Agate 玛瑙
Agate is a common semiprecious stone used for decoration, characterized by its hardness, glassy luster and color. The stone is believed to cure scorpion stings and snake bites, prevent infection and soothe the mind. Agate crystals are also traditionally used as a way to keep in good favor with the powerful, bring victory over enemies, and to protect against the evil eye. Agate is used to make ornaments such as pins, brooches, paper knives, inkstands, and seals. Because of its hardness and ability to resist acids, agate is also used to make mortars and pestles for crushing and mixing chemical compounds.
Wild houtou mushroom 猴头
Considered one of the "four famous delicacies". A very rare mushroom used as a tribute in ancient China. A “toothed” fungus, it is thought to boost one’s immunity. The houtou mushroom is spherical looks like the head of monkey, hence its name.
