Terminal 3 at Shenzhen Airport officially opens for use in November, a welcome addition that doubles the waiting hall area of the airport. The new terminal has 76 airplane parking spaces and has the means to accommodate the largest aircrafts in the world including the world’s largest passenger airliner, the Airbus A380.
Spread over five floors, Terminal 3 will handle international and domestic flights as well as the management of check-in luggage. The first floor will include security checks for inbound international passengers; the second floor houses the domestic arrivals hall; the third floor is home to check-in counters for international departures as well as waiting halls for outbound international and domestic flights; the fourth floor includes check-in counters for domestic and international departures and the fifth floor is home to business class and VIP lounges.
