The world-renowned Yangshuo County in Guilin attracts a large number of foreign tourists every year: some come to travel, so to engage in business, some to learn Chinese and Tai Chi, some even come to Yangshuo to get married. Aimed at this particular group, in order to better conduct services and management, the Yangshuo police have organised a team composed of foreign volunteers from America, England, The Netherlands, South Korea, and other countries.

The County Public Security Bureau will give each member an armband and hat, and they are designed to assist the police in mediating and dealing with foreign-related case incidents\cases. Since the team's founding, they have used their language advantage to mediate Sino-foreign disputes, and have handed out more than 10,000 copies of promotional materials to foreign tourists. They have been given a warm welcome both by domestic and foreign tourists as well as the local residents.
