Tan Dun to Conduct Multimedia Symphony Concert in Suzhou on Oct 1

Composer Tan Dun will conduct the Multimedia Symphony Orchestra in a three-part tribute to martial arts heroes at Suzhou's Cultural Art Center (苏州文化艺术中心) on October 1. Tan Dun won an Academy Award for Best Original Score for Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon in 2001, and was mentioned by the New York Times as "one of the ten most important international musicians" in the world. He was also a global cultural ambassador at the Shanghai World Expo in 2010.
