TESCO to open its first supermarket in Xiamen this fall

As revealed at the press conference of the British Trade Delegation, the world’s leading retail giant, UK based TESCO, will open its first supermarket in Xiamen this fall. The new supermarket will be located at Robinson Plaza near the Xiamen Railway Station.


TESCO is a British-based international grocery and general merchandising retail chain. It is the largest British retailer by both global sales and domestic market share with profits exceeding £2 billion. In 2008, TESCO became the world's fourth largest retailer. TESCO's Chinese shops are known as Le Gou
乐购, which means "happy shopping" in Mandarin.
