Suzhou Travel Tips

Suzhou is located in a subtropical monsoon zone, hence the weather is mild and moist with four distinct seasons. It's best to visit Suzhou between April and October because the temperature is not too low and the flowers are in full bloom until June. June is the rainiest month; July and August, while not quite as wet, are hot, with average highs of 32C (90F).

On a negative note, visitors are advised that pedicab drivers who hang around scenic areas often try to take advantage of visitors by misguiding them or misquoting prices. Visitors interested in a pedicab ride should avoid the crowds around tourist hotspots and hail a pedicab in the street.
