Nov 29, 2011 By eChinacities.com

Through September and October, the National Tourism Administration commissioned the China Tourism Academy to conduct a tourism satisfaction survey in Suzhou. The survey asked tourists to rate Suzhou in terms of tourism information, travel services, accommodations, attractions, public restroom facilities, restaurants, shopping, entertainment, transportation, prices and complaints. From the 682 tourists who participated in the survey, Suzhou scored an overall satisfaction score of 84.35, much higher than the national average.

In particular, tourists liked Suzhou's distinct geography, beautiful scenery, unique cultural history, tourism services and its developed city infrastructure. Conversely, tourists wished for improvements of Suzhou's traffic, tourist attraction infrastructure, tourist transportation, environmental protection, local use of standard Mandarin and more reasonable attraction prices.
