Suzhou Launches Shuttle and Tour Bus Service to the Shanghai Expo
May 13, 2010 By eChinacities.com

To better serve Suzhou residents visiting the Expo in Shanghai, two Suzhou transportation centers (Suzhou Tour Center and Suzhou Passengers Transport Center) have launched shuttle and tour buses directly servicing the Shanghai Expo Park. Visitors can choose to travel with the tour buses for a guided group tour of the park, or opt to buy their own Expo tickets for a more personalized visit. Visitors can buy shuttle and tour bus tickets up to one month in advance for the duration of the Expo.

Shuttle bus tickets are 80 RMB/person, round trip. Starting May 11th, shuttle buses leave from the South Bus Station everyday at 06:30 and return at 20:00; there are two buses scheduled each day. The shuttles will arrive at the No. 20 parking lot of the Expo venue, near Section C, close to the American, Brazilian, Argentinean, Egyptian, Russian, German and French Pavilions. Tickets can be purchased at booths in the South, North, West and Wuzhong Bus Stations, and at post offices around Suzhou.

Tour bus tickets are 208 RMB/person (Mon-Fri), 228 RMB/person (Sat-Sun) and 278 RMB/person for special day visits to the Expo Park. Services included in the ticket price are round trip transportation, admission into the Expo, tour guide services, and insurance for the tour. Tour buses leave Suzhou’s North Bus Station everyday at 06:00 and from the South Bus Station at 6:30, and return at 20:00 to the station they left from. Tour buses will arrive in the No. 16 parking lot of the Expo venue, closest to Section B, by the Chinese, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Saudi Arabian and Japanese Pavilions. Tickets can be purchased at booths in the South, North, West and Wuzhong Bus Stations.
