Suspect Arrested After Fire Incident on Beijing Bus

In the afternoon of July 28, a route 9 bus erupted in flames while driving through Chaoyang District, at the intersection of Jintai Lu and Chaoyang Bei Lu. All passengers were quickly evacuated and none were harmed. The vehicle itself suffered some damage, but the driver and ticket attendant were able to extinguish the fire. The Beijing Public Security Bureau reported on their official Weibo that an individual suspected of arson was arrested that night at 21:30, and that further investigations were under way.
