Sudden Cold Front Hits East-Central China

Yesterday at 6 pm, the Central Meteorological Observatory issued a yellow warning for a sudden cold front that hit most of eastern-central China, including strong winds and rain or snow depending on the area. The cold weather is expected to last until the 11th.

In most areas, temperatures are expected to drop to an average of 6-10 degrees Celsius while areas such as Jianghan, Jiangnan, northern Huanan and Guizhou will experience 12-14 degree weather.

South China will be also be experiencing heavy precipitation until tomorrow. The lower and middle reaches of the Yangtze river in particular will be experiencing the largest rainfall since the beginning of spring. Guizhou, Hunan and Jiangxi are to experience lightning storms as well.
