Strawberry Music Festival in Suzhou Suddenly Cancelled!
Apr 28, 2011 By eChinacities.com

According to an announcement on the festival’s douban page, what was poised to be the first Suzhou Strawberry Music Festival has suddenly been cancelled. Recent thunderstorms causing damage to the festival’s facilities was the reason cited for the cancellation, however other media have been quick to speculate that other causes may be at play; most notably an incident whereby the recently detained artist Ai Weiwei’s name appeared on a public tweet channel shown on a big screen at the Zhouzhuang Folk Music Festival.
