Parks:  

Jan. 17-Feb. 9: Jiuzhou Temple Fair in the Martyr Memorial park;

Dec. 23, 2008-Feb. 9, 2009: Colored lantern art festival   

Jan. 26-Feb. 9: Picture exhibition of China’s 10 most famous buildings in Tianxinge

Jan. 24-Feb. 9: “New year blessing” in Xiaoyuan Park

Jan. 28-Feb. 21: “Writing your wishes for Year of Ox” in Xiaoyuan Park

  

Lanterns:

Jan. 15-Feb. 9: Lanterns will be hung in several parks and alongside the major streets of Wuyi Road, Furong Road, Shaoshan Road, Huangxing Road, Xiangjiang Avenue, Kaifusi Road, Yuelu Avenue and Jinxing Avenue.

  

Opera:  

Jan. 15: Art performance in Hunan Grand Theater at 8pm

Jan. 19-Feb. 9: Theme activities in Wuyi Square

Jan. 4-19, Feb. 9-28: Operas in Tianxin District Cultural Hall theater from 2:30pm to 5:30pm   

Jan. 19-Feb. 9: Folk temple fair in Huogong Palace in Pozi Street

 

Firework;  

Jan. 25: Fireworks party in he Furong District Government, Tianxin District Government, Juzizhou, Kaifu District Government, Yuhua Citizens’ Square, Qianping Square and Xingsha Squares from 9pm to 9:30pm.

  

Lantern Festival:

Feb. 9: Lantern fair in Martyr Memorial park   

Feb. 1-9: Lion dancing in all the districts and counties of Changsha

Feb. 9: Folk culture activities for Lantern Festival in Furong District and nationwide bodybuilding and lantern riddle guessing in Changsha County.
