Beijing’s successful real estate developer Soho China has opened its latest achievement: Zaha Hadid’s first creation in Shanghai. The structure is named ‘Sky Soho’, and takes inspiration from the nearby Hongqiao transport hub.

Soho China has said that they have sold 100,167 square meters of the space to online travel company Ctrip for 3 billion RMB. The rest of the building will be kept by Soho China themselves as investment property.

Other buildings designed by Zaha Hadid are the Galaxy Soho and the Wangjing Soho, both in Beijing, and the Opera House in Guangzhou, which are also famous for their innovative design and lack of straight corners.
