Silk Market General Manager Arrested for Selling Fake Products

Wang Zili, the former general manager of Beijing’s Xiushui Market Street, better known to foreigners as Silk Street or the Silk Market, was arrested in Hohhot on Dec. 21st by police from Beijing’s Chaoyang District. The Chaoyang Police confirmed that the Wang was arrested for breaking the law by knowingly selling counterfeit copies of registered trademarked goods.
