Shop Owner in Ningbo Handed a 3-Day Detention for Smoking in Public

On May 15th, Ningbo Haishu district has deployed several departments, including office of public security, fire department, culture and publications administration, business administration and local police department to do spontaneous checks on shops and stores in the area for adherence to fire safety provisions. When the teams were doing their checks at Yigao Plaza for digital goods, they witnessed several people smoking in public. These smokers were then given prompt warnings for their infractions, but one shop owner was deemed to have caused “serious infractions” and was taken to the local police precinct to be detained for three days for his offenses.
