Shenzhen being the First to Put up Traffic Tips

Shenzhen being the First to Put up Traffic Tips
Oct 15, 2009 By eChinacities.com
Starting from October 14th, Shenzhen put up “street crossing tips for pedestrians” at major crossings on the streets to help the pedestrians better understand the traffic lights system. The tips remind the passers-by what the light colours mean to ensure safety when crossing the street.

As the picture indicates:
1) Do not cross when the light is red. Pedestrians should wait on the sidewalk. No entry into the zebra lines.
2) Start to cross with care when the light turns green.
3) When the green light flashes, no entry into the zebra crossing if you are on the sidewalk; Cross quickly if you are on the zebra lines.
