Dongmen Commercial Pedestrian Street 东门商业步行街
Also known as Dongmen Old Street, this area was established during the reign of Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty. In the past 100 years, it has become the busiest Street in Shenzhen. More than 4,000 stores of all sizes are crammed into Dongmen Commercial Pedestrian Street, including department stores, teahouses, internet cafes, nightclubs, antique shops and art shops. The street's buildings are a wondrous blend of modernity and times past. After dusk, colorful neon lights set the street aglow as bustling tourists and locals scour the shops for the best bargains.
