Shenzhen will be lowering the fuel surcharge to 2 RMB in the first price drop in 28 months.

From October 8, passengers in red taxis only need to pay a 2 RMB fuel surcharge.  The Shenzhen Development and Reform Commission and the Shenzhen Transport Committee jointly issued a notice on September 30 that 92 petrol retailers will be lowering their prices from 7.46 RMB/litre to 7.38 RMB/litre.
