Gucci's largest flagship store in the Asian-Pacific Area opened in Luohu District of Shenzhen in March 2009. Louis Vuitton's largest Asian flagship store also opened in Shenzhen in July. The reason for the two brands to open their largest Asian flagship stores in Shenzhen instead of Shanghai, is that Shenzhen is China's most luxury-oriented frontier city is the top leader for luxury trends in China.
