Shenyang’s Fangyuan Building Voted 9th Ugliest Building in the World

CNNGo.com recently published its list of the ten ugliest buildings in the world. North Korea’s Ryugyong Hotel in Pyongyang topped the list as most hideous building, while Dubai’s Atlantis Hotel came in second.  China also made the list: Shenyang’s Fangyuan Building, designed by Taiwanese architect CY Lee, was declared 9th ugliest building in the world. Lee, who was responsible for the Taipei 101 skyscraper in Taiwan, tried to merge western and eastern elements in the Shenyang office building, but ultimately only succeeded in creating one the world’s biggest eye sores, according to CNN.
