Shenyang Transport -Subway

In 2010, Shenyang's subway line 1 officially opened for public usage, and has become the 7th national and first northeastern urban metro.  Nowadays, Shenyang boasts two subway lines with 41 stops.

Line 1 has 13 stops: Zhongyang Dajie, Qihao Jie, Sihao Jie, Zhangshi, Kaifa Dadao, Yuhong Guangchang, Yingbin Lu, Zhonggong Jie, Qigong Jie, Baogong Jie, Tiexi Guangchang, Yunfeng Bei Jie, Shenyang Railway Station, Taiyuan Jie, Nan Shichang, Qingnian Dajie, Huaiyuanmen, Zhong Jie, Dongzhong Jie, Pangjiang Jie, Liming Guangchang. The line begins operating at 5:30 and ends at 21:00, the first train from Liming Guangchang departs at 6:00 and ends at 21:30.

Line 2 opened in 2011, and has numerous stops including: Santaizi, Ling Xi, Xinle Yizhi, Beiling Gongyuan, University of Chinese Traditional Medicine, Qishan Lu, Shenyang North Railway Station, Jinrong Zhongxin (Financial Center), Shifu Guangchang (Municipal Government Square), Qingnian Dajie, Qingnian Gongyuan, Industrial Exhibition Center, Shenyang Library, Wuli He, Olympic Center, Yingpan Jie, Shiji Dasha, Baitahe Lu, Quanyun Lu.  The first subway from Quanyun Lu begins at 5:40 and the last one ends at 21:00.  The first cars from Santaizi begin operating at 6:00 and end at 21:30. 

Shenyang subway tickets cost 2 RMB for the first 8 stops; any destinations between 9 and 12 stops cost 3 RMB and any destinations 13 stops and over cost 4 RMB. 

The Shenyang intercity rail is expected to open in 2012. The Qipanshan Tourist Line, an extension of subway line 2, and the eastern extension of subway line 1, are expected to open in 2013.
