Since November, Shanghai’s air quality has already been off the pollution charts since eight days, mainly due to sand blowing in from the north. According to statistics from the Shanghai Environmental Monitoring Center, air quality in Shanghai this November has been the most severely polluted in five years. The pollution is responsible for causing flues, coughing and respiratory illnesses this month.
