The first phase of Gucun Park(顾村公园), Shanghai’s biggest suburban ecological park, is scheduled to welcome guests during the National Day holiday. Construction of the second phase will begin later this year.

There are three forest zones for culture, health and conservation; and twelve theme functional areas such as a folk art show and forest activities. A Golf course, grass skating and other field activities will be located in the two areas designated for forest leisure activities and health preservation. The folk art show area has preserved some of the previous industrial remains and will become a multi-functional, creative culture exhibition center.
