Shanghai Songjiang Qingdao Beer Festival Rolls into Town July 19-28
Jul 11, 2013 By eChinacities.com

The fifth annual Shanghai Songjiang Qingdao Beer Festival is set to hit up Shanghai between July 19 and 28, and will be staged at the Resident’s Square.

Taking up a space of over 6,000sqm, the festival will bring down special beer from Qingdao in the form of cans and bottles, with each product only setting you back around 15-30 RMB a piece. A beer festival isn’t complete without drinking contests, and this one will feature three: a standard beer drinking contest, a bizarre sounding “bottle blowing contest” as well as a competition to see who can drink beer from straw the fastest. Winners of the contests will be declared “Beer Kings”, and there’ll also be a grand prize of a 42,000 RMB Chery car up for grabs. Those who come in second and third position will also be entered to compete in the beer drinking contests that will feature in the main Qingdao Beer Festival in August.
