Shanghai Marathon on November 2: Traffic Restrictions

The 2014 Shanghai Marathon will kick off at 07:00 on November 2, and run until approximately 13:00. During this time, multiple traffic restrictions will be in place.

To ensure that the race runs smoothly, there will be traffic restrictions in place. The affected areas are the Puxi bund, Jing’an Temple, Longhua District, and Huashan Lu; some of the roads will temporarily be closed off.

In terms of public transport, during the race there will be six suspended bus lines, 83 lines that have been shortened, 13 lines that are only running partially, 28 routes on diversion, and 32 buses that are not serving all stations. The buses that are suspended are 20, 167, 454, 864, 1212 and 1222.

Ferry traffic will also be controlled between 07:00 and 11:00, while the Huangpu River Tongdong Line and the South Landline will be suspended. Huangpu Tangqiao ferry station, South Quay Ferry Terminal, Puxi Dongjiadu Ferry Station and Lujiabang Lu Ferry Station will all be shut.
