A few days ago, the Sanya West Island Marine Cultural Tourism Area was named as one of China's National 4A Scenic Spots. West Island, full name Ximaozhou Island (西瑁洲岛), is located in Sanya Bay. First opened in 2001, the island's tourism industry was built on displaying the area’s charming local scenery and unique ecological resources and to give visitors a strong sense of an "island vacation", while at the same time providing lots of amenities and tourist attractions to keep tourists happy.
