From now until the end of November, bus tickets from Taiyuan to Beijing will require identification (passport for foreigners) to purchase. Proper identification must also be carried while aboard the bus. Those carrying tickets purchased by another individual or other special circumstances must carry signed proof of permission from the local police station in order to board the vehicle.
