The CDI (China Development Institute) published its China Financial Center Index on June 18th in Shenzhen. The top three cities according to their overall financial competitiveness are Shanghai, Beijing and Shenzhen, securing their respective places as major financial centers in China.

Top 3 Major Financial Centers in China:

  1. Shanghai
  2. Beijing
  3. Shenzhen


Top 6 Regional Financial Centers in China:

Northeast region: Shenyang

Middle region: Wuhan

West region: Chongqing

Northern coastal region: Tianjin

Eastern coastal region: Hangzhou

Southern coastal region: Guangzhou
