Qingdao Railway Station
As a favorite travel destination and a commercial center, Qingdao has rail links to many other major cities, including Beijing (about 5 hrs), Shanghai (6.5 hrs), Guangzhou (30 hrs), Wuchang, Nanchang, Xuzhou, Zhengzhou, Xian, Lanzhou, Xining, Chengdu, Taiyuan and Dandong. Upon arrival, visitors should walk outside the train station to get a taxi, and make sure that the driver turns the meter on. Currently, Qingdao New Railway Station mainly runs express trains while Sifang Station runs traditional trains.

There are three different ways to book a train ticket in Qingdao: over the phone, online or at the ticket window. Tickets can be purchased over the telephone 4-12 days in advance. If you want to reserve tickets for a train departing between 6:00-12:00, the tickets must be picked up on the evening prior to departure between 12:00-24:00. If you want to reserve tickets for a train departing between 12:00-23:00, the tickets must be picked up in the morning on the day of departure between 24:00-12:00. Tickets are non-transferable and are void if not used on the scheduled day.
