Qingdao's relatively free-flowing roads mean taxis offer a quick and popular way to get around the city.
Usually it costs 9 RMB for the first four kilometers, and 1.4 RMB for every additional kilometer. 1.6 RMB (2.2 RMB after 6km) is charged per kilometer between the hours of 22:00 and 5:00 in the morning. There are a small number of luxury taxis, which costs 12 RMB for the first four kilometers and 1.9 RMB for every additional kilometer. Transport to and from the airport and most downtown hotels costs approximately 100 RMB.
