Qingdao Attractions

Located on the tip of the Shandong Peninsula, Qingdao is one of China's most popular tourist destinations on the east coast of China. Colonized as it was by Germany and Japan for more than 30 years, the city has a legacy of foreign-style buildings that these days draw the tourists in droves. The villas on the winding, verdant streets of Badaguan, and the Qingdao Lutheran Church are well worth a visit.

Qingdao boasts an impressive range of Chinese constructions including Zhanqiao Pier (with its Huilan Pavilion) and May 4th Square. Ancient Taoist temples are dotted across Mount Laoshan and Laoshan Taiqing Palace.

Aside from these major attractions, Qingdao also has several museums including the Qingdao Beer Museum, the Qingdao Municipal Museum and the Naval Museum. And the city also has a number of beautiful sandy stretches, with the biggest and best being Number One Bathing Beach.
