Jake Gyllenhaal, who previously starred as the brooding cowboy harboring a forbidden love in Ang Lee's Brokeback Mountain, returns this year as a prince from faraway lands in Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time. The film has started showing at cinemas throughout Kunming already. The film is based on a popular fantasy-adventure video game with the same name and Jake Gyllenhaal, who has often played the laid-back handsome guy next door, has taken up a brand new role as a macho hero that will be involved in a love-hate relationship with Bond girl Gemma Arterton in the new film.
