The Poseidon Theme Park, located at Yangyaowan Huaigu Bridge in Wuxi will open in January. The park was funded by a Czech company and was constructed by a mostly-foreign crew. First to open will be the children’s playground (ages 3-12), which includes all sorts “forts”, drawbridges, balance beams and other fun and “courageous” activities. Safety nets have been set up around these activities to protect kids from falling down and hurting themselves. In addition to the children’s playground, an adult play area (ages 12-40), with rides, rock climbing and other activities will be constructed some time next year. The park covers more than 5,000 sq. m and is the first outdoor theme park in Wuxi. Ticket prices have not yet been decided.
