Picasso Exhibition to Open in Chengdu

A selection of works by the world famous Spanish artist Pablo Picasso (1881-1973) will be displayed at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Chengdu from February 28th to May 1st. As one of the most prolific painter and sculptors of the 20th century, Picasso hardly needs an introduction. Throughout his long-spanning career – which includes the invention of cubism – Picasso has produced no less than 37,000 art works, including oil paintings, sketches, prints and lithographs. For this exhibition, 48 paintings, 7 sculptures, 1 wood print and 50 photographs will be on display.
