Ningbo has poured a great deal of money into its infrastructure to ensure that it becomes a significant transportation hub in the Yangtze River Delta. The city's airport has limited international flights but a great deal of services across China, many of which can also be reached by rail and long-distance bus. Trips to Shanghai are very popular with Ningbo's residents, so the city is particularly well served.
