Beijing Railway Station and Beijing West Railway Station will soon stop selling the 1RMB ‘platform tickets’ that allow public access to the train platform.
Relatives and friends of those who need help boarding, such as pregnant, elderly or disabled passengers can head over to the “Love Tunnel” section of the train station and obtain a certificate that will give them access.
Other train stations such as Beijing North will continue to sell the platform tickets.
